About

The Gulf Coast Quilts blog is simply a place where I share the quilts and other fabric and repurposed items I create. Most of the quilts are inspired by the beauty surrounding us here on the gulf coast of Northwest Florida. Some of the quilts are for sale, some have been sold, and many are gifts I’ve given to family and friends.  I also make quilts that are donated to charities to help with fundraising events.

Some of my quilts and greeting cards are available in local stores.

Gulf Coast inspired quilted greeting card / mug rugs are sold at Geronimo’s Outpost on Pensacola Beach.

Garden & Pottery Alley in Gulf Breeze, Florida features my gulf coast inspired quilts and fabric art inspired by the bold and bright colors of Mexico and traditional Tree of Life and sugar skull motifs. Some of my restored and repurposed items are also available at this delightful, eclectic store. Stop by and shop.

If I find something of interest to my fellow quilters, I’ll post about it here. If I find something inspirational or educational for those of us who love to play with fabric, I’ll post it here. If  I just feel like writing about the joy of creating quilts or sharing my latest projects, I’ll post it here.

That’s it. Pretty simple, isn’t it?

"Warren's Monsters" - the quilt that rekindled my love of quilting after years away from my hobby. Created for my first grandchild, January 2013.
