Charity Quilt: Pensacola’s Red Party

AHA, Against HIV and Aids, hosted it’s second annual “Red Party” to raise money to help HIV patients in our community. I serve on the board of directors for an HIV Care Center so it just felt right to make a quilt and donate it to the silent auction. The event theme was “On the Red Carpet” so I went with the black, white and red that was planned for the decorations. The small lap quilt brought in $150. I met the winner of the quilt and he encouraged me to make and sell my quilts.  I’d never thought about selling them. Hmmm…
